Agatha and the Limitless Readings (1981) with The Parallel Cinema Club

Our weekly meetings feature a screening of an arthouse film, followed by a discussion. Led by one of our members or occasionally a guest speaker, the discussion encourages participants to share their thoughts and interpretations of the film.

Curator’s Note

One of Duras’ most fascinating treatments of the dialectical relationship between sound & image, what is spoken & what is left unsaid, is an evocative “adaptation” of her then unperformed play, Agatha. Featuring Bulle Ogier & Yann Andréa as the wandering protagonists.
