Improv Lore and Kaivalya Plays present
What is Language, anyway?
A Multilingual Improv Jam Celebrating the Linguistic Diversity of Indian Improvisers.
Open to improvisers with all levels of experience and languages.
Explore the multi-linguistic magic of Indian improvisation with an improv jam dedicated to the languages we speak beyond English! This jam focuses on scenes that are multilingual, even non-verbal and full of gibberish, to explore a ‘language’ of Indian improv that goes beyond words. This jam is facilitated by Varoon P. Anand and Gaurav Singh Nijjer of the Delhi-based performing arts collective Kaivalya Plays who apply improvisational theatre as a methodology to areas like mental health and wellbeing, language learning, diversity and equity, transcultural collaborations and creating interactive, hybrid and devised theatre performances.
