Workshop: Becoming Better Content Creators with Vishaka George

This workshop explores how to create content that matters—ethically, creatively, and meaningfully. In a world obsessed with likes, shares, and viral loops, we’ll question if we’re sacrificing creativity, ethics, and truth for digital dopamine. You’ll learn how to slow down, think critically, and create work that holds attention for the right reasons, not just the most clicks.

Our worlds have shrunk into a pocket-sized screen.

Cinema, TV, the news, and, of course, cheaper, faster-to-execute user-generated content. Everything exists all at once on your phone.

We are living in the era of ‘content never sleeps’ and, naturally, neither do you.

And from this abundance of information, entertainment and infotainment comes fragmented attention spans, anxiety, envy, and the fear of missing out. We are always one click away from the latest thing, another subscription, or that influencer-approved home décor promising to “change your life.”

This shift in consumption mirrors the way we create. Does it feel like every enjoyable, scenic moment is a chance for a reel? And that reel starts to flirt with the possibility of virality… and, naturally, it spirals on. Because what’s life without notifications constantly reminding you that you’re still not enough, right? Everything is geared towards followers, likes, shares, and engagement—create for creation’s sake, growth for growth’s sake. An ideology also shared by the cancer cell.

In this relentless pursuit of digital dopamine, are we sacrificing creativity, ethics, and the truth itself? In our desperation to post more and stay relevant, are we truly creating—or simply feeding the machine?

This workshop aims to explore how we can turn the tables. We’ll draw inspiration from one of the most endangered species in the content jungle—good journalism. The art of seeking answers, hearing diverse voices, presenting facts, conflicting opinions, and weaving them into a narrative with momentum and heart. Because, let’s face it, fast fashion isn’t the only thing that needs to slow down.

Examples that matter

  • We’ll dive into ethical, curious, and evocative content from both Indian and global media landscapes. These are creators who aren’t obsessed with likes or follower counts. Instead, they focus on honing their unique passion and creativity, which, much to their surprise, naturally cultivates a loyal, genuine following.

The big questions:

  • Can we create better content without falling into the rabbit hole of viral loops and engagement metrics?
  • Can we slow down, think critically, and produce work that actually )matters_?

This workshop is for anyone who wants to create content that doesn’t just capture attention, but holds it—one ethical, meaningful story at a time.

Workshop suited for:

  • Content creators looking to build and ethical brands
  • Journalists
  • Researchers
  • Writers, communications specialists
  • Artists
